On February 9 this year at 11:00 a.m., a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated under the leadership of the Field Bishop of the Polish Army, Dr. Wiesław Lechowicz, for the staff and patients of the Military Institute of Medicine, both living and deceased.
Present at the Mass were the Director of the Military Institute of Medicine, Lieutenant General Professor Grzegorz Gielerak, officers, clinic managers, department heads, physicians, medical staff, administrative staff, and patients. The Head of Pastoral Care at the Military Institute of Medicine, Father Lt. Col. Dr. Robert Dębiński, welcomed everyone.
Following a homily delivered by the Field Bishop of the Polish Army, the Sacrament of the Sick was administered to patients , and the " Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko" medal was awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to military ministry and the Field Ordinariate of the Polish Army. The following individuals were decorated:
- Col. Dr. Barbara Betiuk, MD
- Mr. Colonel, MD, PhD Zbigniew Nowak
- Mrs. Beata Onisk Kumar
- Mrs. Anna Podgórska
After blessing those gathered and concluding the Holy Mass, the Field Bishop of the Polish Army, accompanied by the Director of the Military Institute of Medicine and military doctors and chaplains serving at the Military Institute of Medicine, met with patients from the departments of pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and rehabilitation.
