Welcome to the Scientific Library

The WIM-PIB Scientific Library began operating with the opening of the Hospital in 1964. Its collection was transferred from the 2nd Central Clinical Hospital of the Military Medical Academy, located at 78 Koszykowa Street. Currently, the library serves as both a scientific information center and the Institute's teaching and research base.

The basic tasks are carried out by collecting, processing, storing and making available books and periodicals, assisting in scientific research (preparing thematic summaries, collecting bibliographies for publication), recording the results of the Institute's staff's scientific work, preparing summaries of published and unpublished achievements for reporting purposes and individual settlements, creating bibliographies of the scientific achievements of WIM-PIB staff, photographic documentation of patients and ceremonies and visits, preparing materials for congresses, meetings, scientific meetings, as well as for publishing purposes, making presentations and developing leaflets and folders, and cooperating with editorial offices.
