The Center for Postgraduate Education at the Military Institute of Medicine – National Research Institute organizes postgraduate education for medical professionals. It administers postgraduate studies, internships, and volunteer programs, and supports and organizes training and research projects. It conducts practical courses in emergency medicine conducted at the Medical Simulation Laboratory at the Military Institute of Medicine.

The Military Institute of Medicine – National Research Institute has been a co-author of numerous scientific projects and a partner in organizing military exercises for years. The Center for Postgraduate Education actively participates in projects and events in collaboration with, among others, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Military University of Technology.
The WIM-PIB Postgraduate Education Center was established in 2010. Our activities include:
We have 630 accredited specialization positions in 47 medical fields – in this respect, WIM-PIB holds a leading position in the military health service's training and development system. We also offer partial, specialized, supplementary, and continuing education internships.
We organize postgraduate internships for physicians – members of the District Medical Chamber in Warsaw as well as physician-officers – members of the Military Medical Chamber.
We have 12 accredited specialisation places in the field of physiotherapy.
We conduct specialization training, qualification courses, and specialized courses in nearly 20 areas of nursing.
We offer training for physicians, paramedics, and nurses, aimed at deepening and updating their professional knowledge and skills, including emergency medicine in pre-hospital and in-hospital settings, emergency medicine, multiple and mass casualty incidents, and familiarizing them with guidelines for the treatment of internal diseases. These training sessions are based on medical simulation scenarios.
We provide custom training for medical personnel, soldiers (including special units), and other uniformed services (including Independent Counterterrorist Police Units). The training is led by leading specialists in many different fields of medicine.
We provide postgraduate studies commissioned by the Ministry of National Defence for employees of medical research institutes, healthcare entities of the Ministry of National Defence, and organizational units and cells of the Ministry of National Defence.
The Military Institute of Medicine offers opportunities for clinical practice, further training in psychology, student and professional internships, and volunteer work.
