The Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Innovative Therapies (LOMTI) is a research and development unit. We conduct basic science research and participate in clinical trials. Our interests include: oncology (tumor microenvironment, mechanisms of drug resistance), immunology (the course of the immune response in various diseases, e.g., COVID-19, eczema), cardiology (the role of cardiac hypoxia at the cellular level), in vitro disease models (blood-brain barrier models, tumor-derived organoids), and gene therapy (development of new vectors for therapeutic genes).
