EMERGENCY MODE
The patient is brought by the Emergency Medical Services Team or presents themselves ( without a referral ) to the Hospital Emergency Department. After being examined by the emergency department physician, they are either qualified for hospital treatment or informed that their health condition does not require hospitalization.
In cases of immediate life-threatening situations or childbirth, a referral for treatment is not required.
SCHEDULED MODE
The patient self-refers. It is required referral to hospitalIn the case of a planned hospital admission (with a set admission date), the patient is required to have the required documents and essential everyday items that may be useful during the hospital stay.
