The Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Innovative Therapies (LOMTI) is a research and development unit. We conduct research in the field of basic sciences and participate in clinical trials. Our interests include: oncology (tumor microenvironment, mechanisms of drug resistance), immunology (course of immune response in various diseases, e.g. COVID-19, eczema), cardiology (role of cardiac hypoxia at the cellular level), in vitro disease models (blood-brain barrier models, organoids from cancer tumors), gene therapies (development of new vectors for therapeutic genes).
